About Don and Andrew
Andrew and Donald moved to Granville from Washington, D.C. in 2010 with the hope of bringing a new bed and breakfast to the area. Andrew, who previously worked for the Obama White House, runs the day-to-day operations of Orchard House while Donald continues to work as a social media and web strategy consultant for a prominent firm in Washington. Driving a pick-up truck from our home in Takoma Park to Ohio with 2 dogs, 2 cats, 2 finches, 2 fish, 2 rabbits, and 4 chickens, the menagerie has been increased by 1 dog, 2 rabbits and 9 llamas, 5 Shetland sheep, 4 alpacas, a pot bellied pig, 5 dwarf goats, more chickens and 5 ducks. With our signature farm experience, guests can be as involved in the daily operations of Orchard House as much (or as little) as they desire. None of our animals live inside the guest quarters (including the owners, so our guests get privacy and relaxation.
Donald is happy to return to Ohio, having grown-up in Cincinnati and an alumnus of The Ohio State University. Andrew, raised in neighboring Pennsylvania, made it his first goal to learn the importance of Jim Tressel. We are happy to join the Granville community and support the local businesses and farms that make Central Ohio a vibrant, exciting place to live.
